Refund & Cancellation Policy
1. What you are buying
StudySprit sells a digital subscription to an app. There is nothing to ship and nothing to deliver physically. Access is granted immediately once your payment is confirmed, and the higher daily limits apply straight away.
2. Cancelling
You can stop paying at any time. StudySprit plans do not auto-renew silently — a plan is bought for a fixed period and simply lapses at the end of it unless you buy again.
- You keep access until the period ends. Cancelling does not cut you off mid-month; your plan stays active until its expiry date, which is shown in the app under Profile → Plan.
- When it lapses, your account returns to the Free plan. Nothing is deleted — your chats, notes, decks and progress stay exactly as they are. Only the daily limits change.
3. When we refund
We will refund you in full if any of these apply:
- You were charged more than once for the same plan and period.
- You were charged but the plan never activated on your account.
- The app did not work as described and we could not fix it for you. Tell us within 7 days of the payment.
- You were charged after asking us to stop, in writing.
A duplicate or failed-activation charge is always refunded, however long ago it happened. We would rather return money we should not have taken than keep it on a technicality.
4. When we usually do not refund
- You bought a plan, used it for the month, and then changed your mind.
- You did not use the app during a period you paid for.
- Your account was suspended for breaking our Terms of Use — for example, sharing one account across many people.
These are not absolute rules. If something has gone genuinely wrong for you, write to us and explain — a student who paid by mistake, or whose parent did not agree to it, should just ask.
5. How to ask
Email support@studysprit.com from the email address on your account, or tell us the mobile number your account uses. Include:
- The Razorpay Payment ID (it starts
pay_and is in the receipt Razorpay emailed you), or the date and amount of the charge. - What went wrong, in your own words.
We reply to every refund request within 2 working days. You do not need to chase us.
6. How long a refund takes
Once we approve a refund we send it to Razorpay the same working day. After that the timing is your bank's, not ours:
| Paid with | Money usually back in |
|---|---|
| UPI | 3–5 working days |
| Debit or credit card | 5–7 working days |
| Net banking | 5–7 working days |
| Wallet | 3–5 working days |
Refunds always return to the same method you paid with. We cannot send a refund to a different card, a different UPI ID or by cash — that is a Razorpay and banking rule, not ours.
7. Failed payments
If a payment fails, no plan is activated and you are not charged. Banks sometimes hold an amount for a failed attempt; that hold is released automatically, usually within 5–7 working days, without anyone needing to do anything. If it has not cleared after that, send us the payment reference and we will chase it with Razorpay.
8. Price changes
If we change the price of a plan, the new price applies only to purchases made after the change. A plan you have already paid for keeps the price you paid until it expires.
